Marmande

3.00

Marmande is a famous French heirloom bush variety that produces delicious looking, slightly lobed, red beef tomatoes (150-250g).

The tomatoes are meaty, juicy and have good delicate tomato flavours. The variety is grown by some market gardeners as a compliment to their other tomatoes.

It is a bush variety that does not get as tall (70cm) as climbing varieties. However, we found that it does well with support since the tomatoes get quite heavy. It has a somewhat bushy habit as would be expected, but tolerates suckering.

It is resistant to Fusarium and Verticillium.

Good in salads etc. and also nice when grilled.
